Tegan and Sara Concert (part 2)

During the night of the concert, there were some fans of Tegan and Sara that threw things onto the stage. There were books, hockey pucks, candy, and even flashing glasses!
I know that I didn't have my camera with me, but I was able to find a video of Tegan wearing the flashing glasses while playing/ singing Floorplan. It was hilarious!

Here is the url to see Tegan's flashing glasses at the concert!

Tegan and Sara Concert

On December 6th, 2007, my parents, godmother, and I went to UC Berkeley to watch Tegan and Sara in concert. Tegan and Sara may have some strange music, but I enjoy it. Tegan and Sara are from Canada, they are sisters and they play the guitar, sing, and play the piano/keyboard. I love their music because some is rock and some is alternative.
Thursday's concert at UC Berkeley was so much fun. The stage was beautiful with the changing colors of lights, and the background too...which was a picture of old cut down tree stumps. My godmother introduced me to their music...after listening to a few of their songs from the album The Con, I thought their music wasn't that bad after all. My godmother bought my family and I tickets for the 6th row from the stage!! It was incredible! Sitting so near the stage when the theater. I loved the part when Tegan and Sara told the audience to turn their backs to the stage, turn off the lights, and flip open your cellphones. When I looked up to the balcony area...where other people sat, the view was beautiful...everyone was standing up, singing, while you see these lights (cell phone) swaying back and forth. I have been to several concerts like Dave Matthews featuring the Black Eyed Peas, Paolo Nutini, and Mika...but none of those concerts were like this.

And I am sorry that I don't have any pictures of the concert... :(
I forgot to bring a camera, and cell phones don't take good pictures.

I am also sad that yesterday (December 6th, 2007) was their last concert/ performance in USA. They will no longer be performing!! :(

Yes I know that I haven't posted for a while... but it isn't my fault! I have been SO BUSY. On August 26-27, I went to Monteray with my mom and her friends. We only went to the Monteray Bay Aquarium because we had a limited amount of time. On the 27th, we spent half of the day walking in the towns.

Pics From Yucatan, Mexico

As I had promised, here are some pics that I took while I was on vacation. My family stayed at The Palladium. Palladium was a great hotel because there was lots of food, shops, and entertainment. We stayed there for 10 days. My parents and I first went horseback riding, then visited Tulum and Chichen Itza. After that, we went to Xel~Ha. If you ever visit Yucatan, I would recommend going to Xel~ Ha. Xel~Ha is a national park with many activities to do. For example: swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving, eating, swimming in caves, tubing, and many more. My parents and I went to swim with the dolphins. This was my first time meeting a dolphin, and I was nervous. When the dolphins swam up to me, I felt their bodies. It was rubbery and smooth. Then my dad and I went snorkeling. We saw many fish, blue, yellow, white, silver, big, small, and long - all different colors and sizes.

Tulum is a beautiful site. Though the only problem was the heat. The weather is not only hot, but humid...sticky, hard tp breathe. You could feel the sweat dripping down your back. Eww.......In Tulum, there is an area that you could go swimming in the ocean. The water was calm and clear, but I wasn't in the mood for swimming. Chichen Itza was also a beautiful site. Did you know that Chichen Itza was recently added as one of the Seven Wonders of the World? My family went to Chichen Itza with a tour group called "Olympus Tours." They include the transportation and food. The tour guide was excellent because he provided lots of information on the Mayans.

I believe that Mexico is a beautiful place, and I would love to go back again. =)
